Open source ? Does that mean I can host my own ? Would it be compatible with other self hosted instance ?
EDIT: the only source code I found hasn’t been maintained for 3 years.

I expect it’s going likely to be used to train some Chinese AI model. The race to AGI is in progress. IMO: “ideas” (code included) should be freely usable by anyone, including the people I might disagree with. But I understand the fear it induces to think that an authoritarian government will get access to AGI before a democratic one. That said I’m not entirely convinced the US is a democratic government…
PS: I’m french, and my gov is soon to be controlled by fascist pigs if it’s not already, so I’m not judging…
Sure as long as it’s not my bank or my employer or the gov official website for accessing my taxes…
Well godd news then, you can start to enjoy music about religion, cause I feel like every other popular song is about that, and I am just as annoyed as you, be careful though there are overlap betweem the two. 😄
Though I agree about ‘financial support for content creator’ I think our model of copyright doesn’t work.
I’d love your opinion
Should a content creator keep making money forever once something is produced ? Would you prefer to buy rather than pirate a movie that was made 100 years ago ? Let’s say you never bought any Charlie Chaplin movie, would you buy it if you wanted to watch it ?
The reason I ask is because I’m still unclear myself about what is morally right on this topic. I tend to pirate a lot nowadays because I don’t know how to support content creators without filling the pockets of intermediary leeches
can’t be arrs to make a better joke
I actually rewatch this movie with my SO whom never saw it two days ago. Fun coincidence to see a quote from it today
We had the same, and it rented video game console and games, it was great.
Why would they ? I was that kid and I still upvoted his comment, I don’t use downvote as a disagree/punish button, I only use it for agressive/uninteresting comment. I think we should upvote any comment that create interesting discussion, even if we disagree with the core message.
Wrong, I was that kid and I hate denuvo just like everybody else.
Also I don’t think it works as an analogy, the kid reminding the teacher about homework does it because he likes school, and learning, he does it for himself and everybody else, he never imagine other kids would not like it. This guy doesn’t do this for himself or others, he does this out of spite of others, to punish people, he doesn’t gain anything.
it didn’t break anything “so far”
Change your perception of the task, instead of it being a ‘thing that you will be happy to have done’ look at it as a ‘thing that are happy doing’,
for example instead of ‘I will be happy to have learned to play the piano so I should force myself to practice’ think ‘I am happy while practicing the piano’ instead of ‘I have to do the dishes’ think ‘I am cleaning these dishes with perfection, and optimising their placement so that they will dry the quickest’
Basically, don’t do things for the end goal, do it for the action itself, live in the present, not in the future. There’s always enjoyment to get from any chore if you approach it from this mindset.
My partner look at me funny when I put my shirts to dry in ascending color order, and my socks all parrallel, but the truth is, I’m having fun doing it that way, the chore has become a meticulous game that I take pleasure from.
:-D, fair enough
I don’t think it’s a hipster thing anymore, I understand why: aesthetically vinyl are nicer than cds. You have a large cardboard with artworks. I might buy one from an artist whom art I like, and never actually play it.
I don’t remember exactly, but I think I get reduced data cap value if I’m using it from another eu country, the rest stays unlimited I think.
For anyone like me outside the US wondering what the fuck is GoogleFi : It’s a Virtual mobile network provider, using wifi and other provider’s network.
Hope I saved you a search.
For me living in france, these prices seems outrageous. For the record I pay 13€/months and got pretty much unlimited everything (130 GiB data is more than I’ll ever use in a single months on my phone)
You should have a look at maidsafe, It’s not at the routing level, but it is a decentralised internet, that might sprout ideas.
I feel there is a good joke here, but I miss the knowledge to understand it. Care to enlighten me?
ho… Scary indeed. I hope yuzu has a good legal team. Would the ruling also apply to other software product in this category (outside of emulation) ?
Thanks, I’ll have a look
