Smart. I’ve seen it on manufacturing lines for operators logging into SAP. They put the barcode on the back of their badge.
Didn’t they also live through all of what you just mentioned? What makes their experience of those events different than yours? It is all perspective. How do you know what it was like to be alive during the civil right’s movement, the Cuban missile crisis, the oil crisis, the assassinations of JFK and MLK Jr, the Vietnam war and the draft, the real estate crash in the 1980’s, etc.
It turns out that people are rubbish at understanding others perspective and life experiences. There is no hand book on how to be an adult and how to live. Giving advice is difficult. Give your parents a break and realize that they are people too.
If you will never live in the US, you should renounce your citizenship. This will be permanent and irrevocable, so consider it wisely. This eliminates any issue with not filing taxes while working overseas.

I don’t use one, only the official carrying case when it is not being used. I don’t see the point as I’m not using it while walking or moving.
I can say that in my case in New Zealand, there was one store to buy the uniforms and shoes with no exception. Everyone was equal and had the same set of clothes to wear, the only exception is that the boys wore grey and green and the girls had the option of white. The uniforms are still the same decades later.
The problem is that you’ll start trusting it based on a few examples that it was correct, and you’ll be burned by a seemingly correct answer that is really wrong. I tried testing it with simple science and engineering questions and it was garbage.
The same tool made up references to seemingly real legal cases that never existed.

A 3.75% of the cars total value as a “document fee” is the same as a 3.75% sales tax. The only difference is that you also pay it when you bring in a car from out of state.
